Gunz For Hire: ‘The Resistance’
013 Tilburg better be warned, because on May 18th, Gunz for Hire will kick off their Dutch tour, codename “The Resistance”, with only one mission: Total Destruction
One year after their explosive entrance into the Hardstyle scene (Decibel Outdoor 2011), Gunz For Hire carefully stepped back from the Dutch party scene to prepare new tracks in the studio and embark on a foreign tour out of Holland’s sight.
Gunz for Hire toured through Australia under the codename “Sorrow” to complete their objective of infiltrating the distant continent, leaving the crowd infected with the Gunz for Hire virus as of December 2012.
They chose Hard Bass Reclamation as the stage to return and unveil new hits like “Swagger”, “Inside my Head” and “ The Massacre”. This was just a warmup for their already scheduled Dutch comeback tour.
Trailer: “Tilburg, better lock your doors ‘cause we’re coming to your town!”
On the 18th of May, Gunz for Hire will kick off their own small-scaled Dutch tour. “On this stage we will not reveal the entire tour and what’s going to happen. We can say that we are attending several festivals during the summer, and will be harrassing some clubs along the way.” as said by Gunz for Hire themselves. The mission is simple: Infect everyone with the deadly Gunz for Hire virus. With loaded guns, full of explosive new tracks, they will aim for total destruction. Be prepared.
You have been provided with a brief idea of the upcoming months in their video “Emergency Call 911”. The new tour’s ticket sale will start on the 27th of March 9.11 pm (21:11) on http://gunzforhire.tickets.supersized.nl. Make sure you secure your tickets on time!

A statement from Scantraxx Recordz
As many of you know, there has been a lot of movement going on recently. I began noticing the first changes in my colleague’s mindsets about 16 months ago as we all found ourselves having to adapt to the attention hardstyle was receiving around the world. It’s clear that the scene is changing, and it’s happening so fast that it can be a lot to take in. We have the globalization of hardstyle, new opportunities for everyone and an unstoppable growth of our fan base, all of which are things to be very pleased with.
For me, as the Scantraxx label manager, I’ve been working around the clock with artists, looking for ways to help them make the next step in their careers. I’m also a person that dreams of these new opportunities. Whenever a goal has been reached, a new target has already been set. Over the course of 7 years, I’ve worked with many great people to create a platform where you, artists and other creative minds can come together with the same dedication. What we do in the world of hardstyle is a way of life, not just a job.
When we look back at the resumé of Scantraxx Recordz, I can proudly say that we’ve achieved many amazing things over the past 10 years. Incalculable hits, sold-out shows, the biggest social platforms, an incredible roster and a fantastically dedicated fan base, to name a few. I’m proud that we did all of these things, but let’s look at the present and our future, as that is what my ‘open letter’ to you is all about. We live in a social world and it’s important that we are ‘social’, transparent and directly communicate with all our fans. Unfortunately, it’s not always possible to openly discuss what’s happening, but now is a time I feel we have to do it.
When you sign artists, both of you have the same goal: Get to the top and spread hardstyle as far as anyone can hear. This has been achieved many times with artists like Headhunterz (#1 in the world), Wildstylez, Frontliner, Zatox, Brennan Heart, Project One and Gunz For Hire. These amazing accomplishments have been highlights in the timeline of Scantraxx Recordz. I’m extremely proud that Headhunterz, Wildstylez and Frontliner have become such big stars and are taking control of their own careers. They all worked with Scantraxx for 5 years and have now chosen their own path, which I have a lot of respect for. I’m 100% confident that all of these great, talented producers will never have the intention of leading hardstyle in the wrong direction, and also extremely honoured to have been a part of their success.
There is also a downside, which I need to clear up for all of you. When you work together for a long period of time, the chemistry that glued everything together may begin to fade away. It’s at those times you have to make difficult decisions. Do I let an artist go? Do I stick to it and try things over and over? This applies to an artist as much as it does a manager. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror and say “Sorry mate, this is it.”
I have to say that I’m really happy for those who have left Scantraxx and found a label with the right chemistry!
Things have happened but don’t forget what is going on right now. New success is either on its way or already present. I can say that the artists I proudly represent are taking over line-ups, social media and music charts. So when you ask the question “Is Scantraxx Recordz gone?”, my answer to you is “Absolutely not!”
Scantraxx represents an even more diverse and talented roster than ever before. Rising stars such as Adrenalize, F8trix, Bass Modulators, Atmozfears, Digital Punk, Waverider and many more are ready to take over. DBSTF, Ran-D, Adaro, Max Enforcer and Gunz For Hire are already waiting for the next wave of thrilling career movements. I’m not afraid to say that mistakes have been made, but I know that now everything has been cleared up, we can go on to show the rest of the world what we are about. We’re ready for the next level.
We at Scantraxx HQ are really excited for everything that is happening in the hardstyle scene, and that includes you.
Much love and dedication,
Rudy Peters

Headhunterz signs global deal with EDM Label Ultra Music
David Waxman, General Manager and Head of A&R said, “Immediately after I first heard one of his productions, I wanted to work with Headhunterz. He brings a unique style to electronic music that is incredibly reactive upon first listen and his cult-like following is also a testament of his refreshing sound.”
The announcement is a landmark moment for both Headhunterz and the burgeoning hardstyle movement. Having grown exponentially in its home nation of Holland, the last few years have seen the sound exported internationally. Riding off the success of sold out events and the backing of leading promoter Q-dance, the hardstyle movement continues to build momentum, with the sound attracting large crowds in the US, Australia, Russia, Canada and for these unique shows.
When asked about the deal Headhunterz expressed, “The deal with Ultra Music is a turning point in my career as an artist and producer. Having complete creative control in every aspect of what I do as Headhunterz will no doubt allow me the space and creativity to be true to hardstyle whilst being able to spread my music on an even larger scale backed by their resources, I am thrilled to get started on this exciting new adventure”
Rising from the rapidly expanding hard dance scene, Club Class Music Management client Headhunterz has claimed a top position in the world by reaching an amazing 11th place in the DJ Mag Top 100. This remarkable feat comes after a series of acclaimed main stage performances at hardstyle festivals such as Defqon & Qlimax, three albums, several chart topping anthems and remixes, and his leading, genre-defining, hardstyle podcast named HARD with STYLE™. Headhunterz has also hosted the Amsterdam Dance Event’s biggest show, Q-dance presents Headhunterz – Hard with Style, by debuting the brand new, state-of-the-art concert stadium Ziggo Dome.
